Mama,
I just want to tell you how much you mean to me. I’m sorry that I can’t be here today. I know that this will be a very special day for you. I am so glad that your family is honoring you and I feel that you are very deserving of this honor. You are the best mother in the whole world and I am honored to be your daughter. You have always been there for me. I will never forget that one time when we were traveling in Evangelism and my cat died that you sent me a sympathy card because you knew how much my pet meant to me. I thought who but a mother would be so thoughtful.
I could just go on and on with other storied but I will close with this. People are always telling me that the older I get the more like you I look. I take that as a compliment.
I hope you have a wonderful day. I know you and I know that by now you will be needing a tissue to wipe your eyes.
I Love You,
Brenda

Dear Ms. Charlotte,
In 1953, shortly after my family moved from Rome Ga. to the Bettstown community I began attending Sunday school at Hopewell.
I remember meeting Ms. Jennie, Claire, Sonny, Jody, Jimmy, and you.
My family, being Baptist, soon had me in Franklin, but I remember seeing you Mr. John, Jimmy and you quite often since Mr. John was a member of Franklin.
Over the years you have been a generous contributor to the ministry of Franklin with your time and resources, actively participating in its WMU and helping with vacation bible school and being a part of DISIPLESHIP TRAINING on Sunday night.
Many “mud hens”, cornbread cakes and other goodies have been enjoyed by everyone at Franklin over the years, but I especially enjoy your lemon cheese cake.
You are a loving mother and grandmother, a compassionate sister and aunt, a concerned and giving cousin to your relatives, and a good Christian friend to many. Best of all you have been my good friend.
Love,
Becki Meager
