title:
Bass Cove (see the full-size close-up below) On a foggy night the backwaters of northwest Floridas Lake Seminole have many such scenes where black bass and large alligators lurk. Often, when I fished at night I saw this moonlit scene. But I never photographed it as such. Here, I added the full moon which was photographed separately, sandwiched to the original daylight scene and then re-photographed. To get the correct reversed image of the moon reflected in the water, I inverted this moon slide and added it to the combination. When all components were correct, I scanned this 35mm transparency into my computer at high resolution and gave it a water color effect seen most prominently in its maximum enlargement. The final result is an exact rendition of a foggy night in the backwaters of this remote and eerie bass cove. |
