Introduction: Concept InnerCircle Publishing/Revolution Press was founded on the principle of symbiosis, which basically states we benefit more from cooperation than we do from competition. Like a honey bee and a dandelion. The honey bee feeds on the pollen of the dandelion, which in turn, helps the dandelion to spread its pollen to other flowers. Every author working in our international promotion network creates exponential exposure for all other titles. Imagine hundreds of authors working to promote their own books, and in turn, each author is helping to promote your book. Every promotion advertises your book. Every book sold promotes your book. The combined resources of our network benefit every author. Do you think you may sell more books working alone? Or with hundreds of authors from around the world helping you?
Introduction: InnerCircle Publishing Traditional publishing houses say: IF your work is good enough, meaning they can sell at least 150,000 copies to justify their print run, they will publish your book. IF you sign over your rights to your material and you agree to royalties of only 12% of net book sales, they will publish your book. IF they don’t believe they can sell at least 150,000 copies, your work is simply ‘not what they are looking for’, and you will receive a nice rejection letter. Realizing the commercial publishing industry was designed to benefit publishers–not authors, founder Chad Lilly created a publishing company that could provide authors of metaphysical poetry with the ability to have their work published and distributed worldwide, while allowing them to retain their rights and 100% of their net book sales. Many said this idea would never work. Fortunately, the largest book distributor in the world disagreed, and in January of 2002, Ingram decided to distribute ICP’s titles based solely on the projected exponential growth pattern of the concept.
Introduction: Revolution Press By April of 2004, ICP published over 25 original titles. The production and distribution methods had proven successful with 92% of those titles becoming ‘commercially viable’, meaning the book generated more income than cost to produce. Finding many authors were turned away because their work was not metaphysical, Revolution Press was created. Rev-Press provides authors of all genres the ability to publish and distribute on a worldwide scale. Thus, making it possible for an author to decide what is worthy to publish. And so the revolution began.
