The Pie Cone is a crisp cone suggestive of pie crust (more flavorful but lower in fat) and is filled with classic fruit (such as apple, wild Maine blueberry, strawberry-rhubarb), cheesecake, and various other dessert fillings. The cone is shaped in a slightly flattened form suggestive of a slice of pie but like an ice cream cone, it is individually filled for each customer and is as easy to eat. Pie Cones even has a bigger brother, the Savory Cone which comes in various other crust formulas and delicious food fillings. |
No paper plates to bend, no plastic forks or plastic spoons to break. Easy to enjoy and just as easy on the environment. * * * * * * * |
A Maine invention, Pie Cones
were originally created for the Common
Ground Fair using deliciously wholesome organic ingredients. From there they spread to other Maine locations and even the Wild Blueberry Commission of Maine has sold Blueberry Cheesecake Pie Cones (pictured here) at the
Eastern States Exposition (The
Big E) in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Pie Cones have also been sold and three National Folk Festivals. * |
